Tier 2/3, Equity, and Introduction to Individual Problem Solving

Holiday Inn (25425 SW 95th Ave), Wilsonville

The purpose of this training is to give District Implementation Teams time and space to evaluate and enhance the Tier 2/3 systems of support that have been developed and implemented in the past year in order to set the groundwork for Individual Problem Solving. An additional focus will be on ensuring equitable access and outcomes for all students.

This one-and-a-half-day training will cover:

  • Equity in a Multi-Tiered System of Support: Access and outcomes

  • Shoring up Tier 2/3 (including Decision Rules, Intervention Placement, Progress Monitoring, and Intervention Review)

  • Introduction to Individual Problem Solving

Teams should come prepared to discuss their disaggregated CBM data and their School Report Card. You will have time to start exploring how equitable student outcomes are and to identify any specific inequities that exist among student groups.

Teams will be given ample time to problem solve around your district intervention systems. ORTIi coaches will be available to support your teams, if needed, during the afternoon of the 9th. While that afternoon time is optional, your team might benefit from the time and space to work together before heading home.

This training is required for districts within the Elementary Reading Cadre 11 and is optional for other districts currently participating in the ORTIi Project.
