Keynote Speaker, Kevin Feldman
Dr. Kevin Feldman is the Emeritus Director of Reading and Intervention with the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) and an independent educational consultant working with publishers, schools, and districts across the country and in Asia. Dr. Feldman serves as lead consultant to a number of RTI/ CCSS Instructional improvement related projects around the country supporting a rigorous effort to improve content area literacy or Tier 1 instruction in grades K-12.
Endnote Speaker, Dr. Anita Archer
Anita L. Archer is an educational consultant to school districts on explicit instruction, the design and delivery of instruction, behavior management, and literacy instruction.
Over the course of her 40-year career, Dr. Archer has taught elementary & middle school students and has served on the faculties of San Diego State University, the University of Washington, and the University of Oregon. She is nationally recognized for her professional development activities, having presented workshops and seminars in every state.
Dr. Archer is coauthor, with Dr. Mary Gleason, of numerous curriculum materials addressing reading, writing, and study skills. She is the recipient of ten awards honoring her excellence in teaching and her contributions to the field of education.
What to Expect:
More than 90 Breakout Sessions: Educational leaders, trainers, researchers, teachers, and specialist will share evidence-based practices for ASSESSMENT, INSTRUCTION, INTERVENTIONS, and LEADERSHIP in the context of Response to Intervention systems.
Facilitated Team-Time: Gather with your district or school leadership team to process your learning and create action plans with assistance from an ORTIi Implementation Coach.
Networking Reception: Connect with others and share implementation challenges and solutions - Together we are better!

"Public-practice tied to evidence-based practices IS the secret sauce" ~ Kevin Feldman
Public-practice calls on educators to open their doors and collaborate meaningfully with colleagues to determine the most important instructional targets and effective practices, and support one another to develop the capacity to deliver instruction that will reach and teach all students. The Pre-conference day will focus on the actions that districts can take to improve the quality of instruction that is delivered across all tiers.

Combining her years of experience as an award-winning teacher and trainer with an in-depth knowledge of change, leadership, cultural proficiency, and mindset to increase YOUR organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. Dr. Shera is currently a professor of Speech Communication at San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas. She is a former K-12 teacher, district-leader, and Professional Learning Community Implementation Specialist.

$100 per person per day for past districts, Oregon districts that have not been apart of the project, and districts from out of state.
Price for Pre-Conference: (FULL)
$75 per person for past district and districts outside of Oregon
